Pune rampage- dark day in the history of Pune city.

10 People lost their life, and 30 people are seriously injured in Pune (Swargate area) rampage caused by a ST bus driver on 25-01-2012; this also shows that a mad man with a vehicle is just like a terrorist with Gun in his hand.

Media reports suggest that Police were not able to handle the situation and stop this mad man on time.

Some brave citizens along with brave Cops showed their courage and captured this man while he was waiting at a signal with this ST bus.

Few patients were taken to the Govt run Sasoon Hospital, according to TV reports- the hospital’s medical equipments were not working when the accident patients were brought in, patients had to wait till new equipments arrived.

We would like to Salute all those brave citizens and Police who captured this killer before he could kill more innocent people.

The Motor vehicle act seems to be in favor of rash drivers and killers, are we safe while driving on roads?

May God help those 10 souls rest in Peace and help those 30 injured people to get well soon.

Please pray to God for them.

IT & BPO Professionals in Pune should get a bullock cart pick up and drop?

Yes, bullock cart should be used to provide pick up and drop to IT & BPO professionals in Pune!

Rajiv Gandhi (Hinjewadi) Tech Park is home for lot of IT & BPO companies in Pune, let’s take a look at the roads in Hinjewadi-

Article about the same topic in newspaper-

Another important landmark is Eon Cluster in Kharadi area of Pune, roads are better than Hinjewadi but still not good enough to drive a vehicle, take a look at these pics-

Traffic management in Pune is becoming worse day by day, on an average the number of road accidents in Pune is increasing every year, no one follows traffic rules like speed limits, etc. Around 50% of the traffic signals are switched off by PMC to avoid traffic congestion.

After looking at these pics, I feel that it will be better if companies switch to bullock carts instead of hiring Buses or Cabs for employees pick up and drop, and anyways both will take almost the same time to reach their destination cause of traffic.

Why do MNCs prefer to open their offices in the City which does not even have good infracture?

Pune’s municipal transport body PMPML is the most expensive public transport in India (and the most pathetic one)

Movie review- Don 2.

Funstadium respects creativity, we have not disclosed the surprise elements from the movie in this review, and this review is made using simple words in order to make it easy to understand.

Ingredients of Don 2= Plenty of explosions, Gun shots, Ultra-Luxury Cars, Exotic Locations, Pretty women, Glasses full of Wine, average background score, two songs and bunch of talented artists like Sharukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, OM Puri, Boman Irani, Nawab, Kunal Kapoor, etc.

People had lot of expectations from the Music, but this time we feel disappointed with Shankar Eshaan Loy, and the director has used only 2 songs in the movie.

Some parts of the script seem to be adopted from movies like Ocean’s eleven, The Bank Job, Mission Impossible, etc. Action sequences seem to be adopted from Lethal weapon, Die-Hard, Mission Impossible and Himesh’s Aap Ka Suroor (remember? BMW car chase sequences in Germany from Aap ka Surror).

Hrithik Roshan’s role is very small in the movie (less than 5 minutes).
Don 2 is better than Shahrukh Khan’s Ra-One as far as story is concerned.
Sharukh Khan & Boman Irani’s performance is worth watching.

There are few loose ends in the movie, the director has failed to apply simple logic in few scenes, i.e- Boman Irani tries to kill Sharukh khan when he meets him, but suddenly decides to be his partner in crime in next two minutes, this scene was not convincing enough. In another scene inside the prison, a visitor meets Don with lethal poison injections and white clothes hidden in his bag, now how did the prison security a visitor inside the prison without checking his bag to meet such dangerous criminal like Don?
Overall i feel that Don 2 is better than Khan’s Don 1 released in 2006. Sharukh Khan & Boman Irani’s performance is worth watching.

The plot has few interesting twists, and second half of the movie manages to attract eye balls, so we would give it 2.5 / 5.

bye.. bye… Snaptu  Facebook has pulled the plug, Snaptu apps is dead.

Snaptu turned a basic phone with Internet connection into a virtual smartphone. It allowed users to download various social media, news, infotainment apps and view it on a single app interface.

Indian version of Snaptu was available (to download) free of cost for customers with GPRS enabled handsets, Snaptu had lots of ads on its interface.

Snaptu was founded in 2007 as Moblica and is backed by Sequoia Capital and Carmel Ventures. The mobile app by the developer grew rapidly to reach 78 million users globally, as of January 2011. Now Snaptu has around 1 million daily active users and 4.6 million monthly active users, according to AppData, which tracks traffic of Facebook apps.

In India most of the population uses 2.5 G handsets, iPhone, ipad is still a dream for many Indians, as the pricing is around Rs30.000, Snaptu was a blessing as it was available even for basic handsets like Nokia 3110c.
Twitter, Linked In, etc have developed apps for Apple OS and Android OS based handsets, but what about people who are using basic handsets like Nokia 3110c, LG-KG-300, etc?

Lets hope that some other developers will come up with something like Snaptu, so that we can use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn on the same interface.
